The two domains are going to be separate websites. I want to be able to add my second domain so that I can control two websites under one WP account
You alreayd created the network, so go to “add site”. it will be either a subdomain or supbfolder. then use the plugin Ipstenu suggested to map your second domain to that site.

so I followed the installation instructions in the link above and did the first 3 steps, however I could not find my super-admin functions anywhere on my dashboard(both in site admin and network admin), and I only ever created one account on WP.
As a “super admin”, visit Super Admin->Domain Mapping to create the domain mapping database table and set the server IP address or a domain to point CNAME records at.
For 3.1 this is :
As the Network Admin, visit Network Admin -> Domain Mapping….
Please forgive my ignorance and not understanding these instructions. I need more simpleton terms 🙂 Like F XR, I currently have a wordpress.org account and want to create a completely separate domain and site to be accessed through my primary WP account. I’m using the same hosting company for both domains. What are the steps to enable the network on the primary WP install? And once the network is ready, where do I find the subdomain folder to ‘add site’? Lastly, what exactly is mapping the domain? I opened the link provided and only became more confused by the plug-in instructions, especially once it discussed CNAME records. Thank you for any help that you can provide!
